World’s Fastest Moist Dog Training Treat

1 cup whole wheat bread crumbs

4 or 5 eggs

Some Parmesan cheese and/or garlic to flavor

Mix together in a microwavable 9×9 ish pan

Nuke until rubbery and done in centre. Cool and turn out and cut into little treat sized squares. Store in fridge.

Moist Pumpkin Treats  (very nice ‘bouncy’ consistency)

1-15 oz can pure pumpkin

¾ cup cream of wheat

½ cup dry powdered milk

Mix together and bake on parchment paper lined baking tray at 300 F for 15-20 minutes but it depends on size of treat you make. For pretty and convenient small treats, use a pastry bag with tip. I like to  make small ‘drops’.  These take about 7 minutes in the oven. Store in fridge.

Fish Fudge (good and smelly)

2 small tins tuna packed in water OR one large can of salmon in water

2 eggs

1 tsp garlic powder or pureed garlic (optional)

1.5 cups flour (all purpose, whole wheat or oat)

Mix fish (with canned water), eggs and garlic in blender. Blend until smooth. Pour into bowl, add flour and mix well. Press into greased 9×9 baking dish and bake at 350 F for half hour. When done, turn out when a bit cool and cut into strips with a pizza cutter, then snip off small squares. Store in fridge.

Peanut Butter and Banana Balls  (my dogs love these)

1 mashed banana

1 cup oat flour

2/3 cup rolled oats

½ cup dried parsley

3 tbsp peanut butter

1 egg

Mix together and let sit 5 minutes. Roll into balls and drop on cookie sheet. Press down with fork. Bake at 300F until firm and golden – about 20-25 minutes.

Doggie Toothpaste

  • ¼ cup coconut oil
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. chicken or beef bouillon granules
  • 3 Tbsp. baking soda
  • 6-7 mint leaves
