Once you and your dog have the ‘Treibball Bug’, you may be interested in participating in some fun competitions to earn skills certificates and/or games titles. This can be done via video or live trials hosted by members. Certified training for Treibball Canada judges is available.
Competitions are open to any dog breed or mix 6 months of age and older. Treibball Canada supports and promotes positive only methods of training and interaction with our dogs. Flat buckle collars or unrestrictive harnesses only are allowed in competition.
There are 2 height divisions available: 15″ and under and 16″ and up. The exercise/yoga balls used are sized to be approximately at dog’s withers or above. Alternate division available for dogs who are better suited to push lighter or smaller balls (senior or physically challenged).
Treibball games are timed events. Time starts when handler sends dog out to behind stack of balls and ends when dog brings last balls to handler at goal net and completes a down next to handler. Penalties in time occur for biting the ball, use of paws, or incorrect order. Bonus time credits for bringing point ball in, bringing 2 balls in at once. Required completion times for each division or game vary as do the number or mix of balls. 3 qualifying games earns a title in that class. As a team moves up through the levels the challenges become greater such as, greater distance, different sizes/stacks and the order in which they can push them in. Obstacles and tunnels are included in different ‘drive’ games to title in!

Numbers Games (strategy and teamwork)
Snakes and Ladders (6 balls, 2 tunnels -distance and control!)
Cannonball (speed and precision game)

Combine your Skills Certificate with Drive Game and Challenge Game titles of the same level to earn the special ‘Treibball Players of Canada Triathlon Dog!
